    Type 38 in 8 x 57 Cal

Here is my Chinese modified T38 in cal 8 x 57. All they did was bore out the barrel and rifle and chamber to 8 x 57. They also notched the receiver for the longer bullet to be fead to the magazine with a stripper clip. riceone.

Pretty neat 8mm . That was there cal.in China. They liked the Cech Zb LMG in 8mm . I would think the Type 38 jap made gun would be better than there crude mauser rifles. Seen one in 762x39mm before. The Chinese made alot of neat copys of Broom handle Mausers,Thompsons. Even made 30 carbine ammo with fake Lake City stamps. 7.7 and 6.5 jap ammo to. They will copy anything they can steal. And today will be the new super power soon. All are industry is headed there. Neat rifle Riceone!!

Very neat rifle. Riceone, how many Carbines (T38/T99) may have been converted to 8X57mm, do you have any idea? Are they even discoverable?
