Question on a Type 1 sight

Have been looking for a type 1 rear sight for my Rock-ola for quite some time. A friend referred me to a local man with a type 1 marked A-R on both the right base and the leaf. My Riesch indicates that this is a correct marking but indicates AR (without the dash). Is this an acceptable mark or is the sight a fake?

Can't tell without pictures. There are both real and fake rear sights marked that way.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
