Found one that sold on Gunbroker (Auction # 290720657) in June for the 'buy it now' price of $700, with both original 10rd magazines, lasted one day.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I picked up one a couple of weeks back, the side of the action is engraved with the importers mark for Sabre Defence, just waiting to get it on the range to try it out.

    Its in 7.62 x 51.
    Regards Simon

Sabre Defense's import mark could become a real rarity considering the circumstances surrounding that company. Do they still exist?

Hi Brian. There's a website for Sabre Defense Industries, looks like all black rifles. I was wondering about AIA. A gent on another forum thought they were back in business but Google turns up no new website. Cheers, Don

I think they are trading under new management as:

    Sterling Northolt Ltd
    Sabre Defence Industries (Trade Mark)

I'm always interested, if you know of one available.

I've still got a "No5", but the two "No4s" I had quickly got snapped up at a time when i needed the money...
