    8x60R Kropatschek

Anyone reloadingfor one of these rifles? What bullets and powders are you using? I have about 800 rounds of wood bulleted blanks to break down and use.

Looks like a black powder cartridge, and your brass is old and perhaps designed for blank loads so probably some caution is in order. Load data and powders below, but you need to register for the powder charge weights. Scroll down to 8x60R

These guys are talking about reloading for it, but unfortunately I think they are in Finlandicon or Iceland. You MIGHT be able to somehow get one of them to correspond in english about bullets and brass.

Thanks for the info. The blank rounds I have opened show a mix of dates on the bases. They are black powder with about 40 grains of powder in them. The ball ammo have dates in the teens and '20s and are smokeless.

Correct Patrick. I found out they are Czechs, then did some more looking. Czechs seem to have a strong shooting sports interest. Should have known as they have a long tradition in arms manufacturing.
