I had one Kev,the other has stayed with the paperwork with a friend of mine who is interested in HG items and history.

The Home Guard also had a set of bipod legs that went around the top band of a SMLE and a carrying handle affair thinggy that gripped the fore-end around the rear handguard area. THese were made by Parker Hale, just pre war and very few sets survive now but were meant to replicate the section Bren Gun on exercise. To be honest, only the British
could come up with these, er....... whatsits.......!

Ther was one for sale on Evilbay a few weeks back. I cannot recall what it went for though. From the picture, it would seem a very easy thing to replicate. Im suprised no one has done this already?....
