I checked out (2) at a local Big 5 a couple weeks ago. They were much nicer than the ones from a year or two past. I believe these are from Israel. The most interesting was an NPM with a Type II rear sight and no peen marks at all. The barrel was Underwood with very rough machining. The import stamp was so faint, I think it could be removed without a trace if desired. Also the stock was decent with WWII ordance marks plainly visible, and only some rack numbers on the left side that looked like they would be easy to get off. Maybe the two I saw were exceptions, but were much better than the last batch they had. I think they were priced $699 on Black Friday weekend, not as low as the $599 last year, but a lot better guns. I'm still thinking about that one receiver with no peen marks.
