    In the meet bubba department

Bubba says, 'The short middle screw on my PH5a has stripped the thread, what shall I do? I know, first I'll cut the damaged shank off the screw and stick the head back in the hole so no one notices and then ... I'll weld the sight on ... '

Frak, and then ... the draws are smashed and sheared off, and this was sold as a shooter ... Lucky I bought it for the sight only.

"Ahhh, the old braze the sight back on after undoing the butt screw without removing the foreend trick. Second time I've fallen for that one this week."

You'd really like to get alongside some of these "artists" while they were at work... I don't think a jury could convict you for what you'd do.

I had one come by me that was similar. The sight had been ground to fit a #4 rifle and everything had been altered. No part untouched. Sad end for a PH 5A sight.
    Regards, Jim

So, are you going to rescue the sight from it's "blob o'braze"? Or just render it for it's components?

Thanks for the photos of the distressed fore stock on the other thread. Quite representative of many other victims, unfortunately!
