And at a buck sixty for the bayonet, where do these guys get off askin $500 or so for them now??? After all they're not even new, they're old and all !

I really think that some of these figures were 'fudged' for public consumption, especially when one considers that the P-'14 and M-1917 were costed at $26 apiece, the SMLE almost exactly the same and the Mark III Ross at $28, Ross bayonets at $5.50. Adolf Frank was selling brand-new 98 Mausers in 7x57 at RM150 in 1911; the dollar was RM4.20. Bare 98 actions were RM92.
Still, I have $26 left from this month's pension cheque, should anyone have a spare 1,000 rounds of ammo!
