I was out buying ammo at my local gun shop where I came across 1903 SA ser. # 254,5XX with Redfield peep site. Sporterized but with a 2-17 SA military barrel. Bore was clean enough and metal finish was about 70-80%. 250.00. My question is bubba gun or worth restoring? I thought they only came with Lyman sights. And if not would Redfield have been used on an early gun? If Redfield was used, would it have been a compition gun? I have a couple early stocks that it would fit in, just for a display piece, not a shooter.Information
