There was reluctance to replace the M1icon by some, I remember a full page magazine photo of a master sergeant holding an M1 and a 1000 inch target, its inch-and-half black only a hole, and with no flyers. The caption was: " What an expert can do with an M1; 50 shots in 50 seconds"
Does anyone else remember that photo? I would like to know the magazine and issue.
