No 4 Mk I* Forend Pins?

I am missing one of the pins that holds the metal cap onto the fore end. The problem is, I don't know the technical term for such a pin and as a result, finding one has been impossible.

Do they have a special 'parts list' name? Or is there a type of hardware store pin that does the job? Or is leaving it alone the proper fix?

    Any help is much appreciated.

Do you mean the front SIGHT GUARD retaining screw or the front BARREL BAND screw used to retain the sling swivel, or one of the brass pins that secure a metal to wood fitting ?

Or do you mean the PIN, cap, fore-end.

That's a good reason to buy the parts list if you don't mind me saying. Available cheap from BDLicon. Even I've got one.

Yes, Peter, PIN, cap, fore-end sounds right. It's the metal cap at the front of the fore end. It has 2 pins and the front band goes on between them. I'm missing one pin.

The BDLicon list is a great idea. My Skennertonicon book is on the way but the Canadaicon Post lock out has screwed that up.

When I get home, and away from this weird blocking software, I'll have a look at BDL's site.

    Thanks for the replies, everyone.
