    SRS and other help

New to me 03, serial #1535436 which puts it 1939 and one of the last 900 produced according to what I have found so far. SA 8-44 barrel and L2 bolt which places it 1919-20. Bubba did a number on the finger groove stock. Understand this is wrong stock, should be C? So I am not sure if this is a Mixmaster or a rework that was messed with badly. Not sure how I want to go with it, but I have 3 new C stocks and would only need the rear sight (complete), upper handguard and various bands to restore it to a presentable late 03 rework. Any hits on it? Thanks in advance. Will post pics later to help with identifying right and wrong bits. Time to spend a while in Brophy's tome.

No hit in my set of SRS data, but I'm not sure that I have the latest info.

A number of very late receivers were assembled after the start of WWII, and this may be one of them. We look forward to seeing some pictures.

    Congratulations!

You do indeed have one of the last 900 receivers produced by SA in 1940. Virtually all receivers in that serial range were not barreled and assembled to complete rifles until after U.S. entry into WWII. And most were not likely assembled at SA. Your description indicates that your receiver was likely re-barreled during or after WWII.

    Congratulations again!
