I bought a 1941 Maltby recently, and the bolt was I'll fitting, and basically stuffed. The barrel is good+ and 2 groove. The rifle shows CHS with a different bolt body and a 0 bolthead, but none of my (very few) bolt bodies are a good fit to the recoil lugs. So to set the rifle up, I'm looking at having to stone the main lug to set the bolt up.
I've read Peter's articles on the topic and think I could get them both to bear, but is the likely outcome that I just stuff up another bolt body?
I suppose I could wait to find a bolt body that fits off the bat, but I'd like to use what I have if possible rather than have it cost me more in parts.
Cheers.
