How Do You Replace a Lee-Enfield No4 Extractor Spring?

I am sure this has been asked before. Could one of you gentlemen direct me to a thread or a service manual that explains replacing an extractor spring for a No1 and No4 Lee-Enfields?
I have done it before but am wondering if I am trying to a No1 spring in a No4.

No1 extractor spring is a DISTINCT 'V' shape with one leg shorter than the other
No4 and 5 extractor spring is distinctly 'U' shaped wuth a bulb type radius at the base. Again, with one leg shorter than the other.

I've replaced one or two and this is how I used to do it. Take the extractor screw and extractor out, replace the spring with the LONG arm to bear on the extractor, make sure that the litle locator engages in the corresponding hole. THEN use the extractor to ease the protruding bit of the spring clear and slide it in. Align the hole with the screw hole, replace screw!
