    5.60 WRA Carbine

I just bought a 56089xx Winchester carbine from Eddy Yuja (81MM) on GB. Eddy bought it from a deceased WWII vets family at a gunshow. It has a flip sight, type 2 band, type IV slide and a low wood W.R.A./G.H.D. with Crossed cannon cartouche stock. Eddy says not to touch a thing. He has been great to deal with. From what I can read it seems to be in a transition stage for Winchester carbines. Eddy threw in a type 3 band for the swivel which is missing, an IS oiler and three WRA 15 round mags & pouch. He also sold me a USGI C type sling for $40. He included a completed CC Data Sheet as well. I'll be sending it in soon.

M1icon Carbine, Winchester. With flip sight. WWII : Curios and Relics at GunBroker.com

Thanks to usgicollector for the heads up on this one.

Looks like a nice one to me! At first the GB link didn't work for me, so I searched the item number and found it that way. Thanks for showing it. - Bob

Did he give you the type three band so you could take it's swivel and put it on the type two band? Sure don't want to put the type three band on the carbine.

Yes Jim. He actually sent me an extra spare swivel too. I plan to use it instead. The type 3 band is AI marked. I may end up listing it for sale. Anybody had any luck prying open the type 2 band enough to add the swivel?

Thanks Bill. Eddy thinks it is original. He is great to deal with. I'll be sending the data sheet in once I get back from the beach.
