You could say that i am one of those collectors that collected that much that the safe could not fit anymore (hence the pile) until i renovated and enlarged the safe jsut recently to digg out some really nice pieces. the next post will be with a L1A1 scoped rifle in original mint condition. i just have to take that one out of the box and take a photo.

Very nice, Mudgee

I was offered a Lithgow Bicentennial L1A1 skeleton about a month ago.
It presents the same as yours with all the fittings in the same foam box and is mint condition.
The timber on the Bicentennial is blond, the mag and bayonet are sectioned.
Is the rifle pictured a Lithgow L1A1 skeleton?

How many rounds are in the magazine and what's the headstamp on the rounds?

I beleive there is about 10 rounds and an empty case i the chamber, i am not sure what the headstamps say but will look into it at some stage.

The Bi-Centenary rifles have 1982 dated L3A1 inert rounds in the magazine and chamber

There's a fellow who keeps coming to the Northern Illinois CADA shows (3-4 times a year) with a sectionalized FN-FAL for sale. I always wonder how he gets away with it.

(For those curious, I think he wants $2000 for it.)
