Adapter bracket to fit the pintle of the 1919A4 M2 tripod so as to take an M60 MG.

I think the tripod was called the M122 for the M60 but the M2 worked out well too.

Photo shows a broken M60 firing pin that I repaired when I was an armorer many years ago, very difficult to
repair in the field. I never liked the M60 as well as the M1919A6. Don't know
why I saved the broken firing pin all these years

That sounds better. I haven't had one of those in my hands for years.

How do you like the M240, what we call the L7 GPMG FN-MAG over the M-60 then RCS? Initially we had M-60's in Australiaicon but I just KNEW that as soon as they saw the first L7 GPMG's that they'd take to it. And they did! Eventually we called the GPMG the 'GBF' MG as in Great Balls of Fire! By jees....... what a firecracker it was and still is

I was already gone before the 240 was available and I agree with you Mr Laidlericon. There was an old name for the M60, I believe it was the "iron pig" or something like that - The 240 or L7 GPMG FN-MAG is far above the old Lewis/M60 action
