Bugle Horn Stringed Cap Badge

I have a cap badge, 2"x2", in white metal -- a bugle horn stringed, with,
in the middle, the initials "SR." Anyone know what regiment this is?

There were/are MANY British light infantry regiments with a bugle horn badge and theSH should be a clue to anyone but it might be a part of the inscription. Can we see it.

If you have one with KSLI above the bugle, then revere it. It is my family County Regiment. The Kings Shropshire Light Infantry

Correct, but if you gor here:

you will see that it is a bit more complicated. Looks like the Cameronians were, at one time, just one battalion of the Scottish RIfles, and the other battalions were Scottish Rifles, not Cameronians.

Yes! My badge is exactly like the ebay badge pictured. (I'm astonished that it
seems to be worth so much money.) Thanks for that and for the historical
summary. There are a few questions left by the latter, but, now that you've
put me on the right track, I can write the Regimental Museum and clear those
up.

Yes, I have a KSLI...also HLI, DLI, Cameronians, D of Cornwall's, Ox & Bucks,
RB, etc....

Unfortunately, my camera is hors de combat. The "SR" is definitely not part
of an inscription.
