    I Bought 1 errr...2 Mosin Nagants

I was at my local gun store and noticed he had gotten 10 Mosin Nagants in. I never really liked them much but took a look anyway. I was shocked how great two of them looked. The bores were bright and shiny. I loved the brass end caps on the upper handguard and the paint infill on the serial numbers and rear sights. All the serial numbers matched and even the bayonet serial number matched. So I bought two of them for $110 each. They are dated 1937 and 1938. I wonder if this is some kind of parade rifle ? Anyways..........here are photos of the 1938 Mosin.

These are not parade rifles. After the Great Patriotic War ended, the Soviets refurbished all their arms and put them away for future conquests , ah, reserves. Nice looking rifles!

There are a couple sites dedicated to all things Mosin-Nagant. See Mosin Nagant and The Mosin Nagant Forum
