I should have clarified my statement. The original slings for M1917 rifles were the Kerr slings. I do think that the M1907 is more appropriate for a WW2 rebuild.

love it...your sling is right for most 1917,s , i dislike the Ker sling...and love the leather slings...i wouldnt change a thing...thanks for sharing...nice to see a rifle that isnt in the middle of resto or one that someone has tried to install the right parts,.

Ogden was a check and rebuild for many small arms,.Elmer Kieth was there during some time, and this rifle bares his inspection stamp..
