From the very faint cartouch stampings on my Garandicon stock, I conclude that I have a Winchester stock from WWII. My receiver is Springfield. And, given the whole point of standard dimensions and interchangeable parts, who knows what my trigger assembly and such is.

Anyway, the guy at the gun store told me that the Win stock is very rare and desirable and suggested that he knew a guy that would pay me $400 for the stock. Hard to believe. I would like a real, WWII (ser. no. on receiver dates to April, 1945) Springfield stock. Ideas?
