    Sling swivel question

I keep wondering what the center sling swivel is for on the No4s?

    Be well

They don't usually have them unless they are No.4Ts or someone has installed an after market one. In both of those cases they are for a two point shooting sling.

Unless you are referring to the wire loop in front of the magazine, in which case it is for tying on the canvas action cover.

If I'm not mistaken, they were not "formally" introduced on the (T) until after 1944.
