Need help with web sling ID
I don't know much about web gear, so need some help on this sling. I "eyeballed" it a gun show and it looked to be for an '03 or a Garand
, but wasn't sure about whether it should have the brass tip. I saw that it had a maker's mark and didn't know if that was correct or not, but the sling appeared to be "something I needed." After I got it home, I looked at the small markings on the steel clip, and thought it might say "Woods" - didn't pay much attention at the time. A couple days ago I looked closer, and now believe it's Korean made. Has anyone else seen one of these - are they common for Garands that came back from Korean military use? I tried a bunch of web searches for Woo Ji and didn't come up with anything about military slings. Also, what is the correct model designation for this type of sling?
Thanks - Bob

These are the M1
sling. I think you're right about them being Korean or maybe Taiwanese...

I've got another sling that's similar, except it's more of a khaki color. It's on an '03 Remington that was given to me. I've been told that either the leather 1907 sling, or the web sling is considered correct for an '03. Is there a number/year designation for this type of sling? Thanks! - Bob
