1896 Carcano and .264 Nosler Accuracy & the WWI rifles
In my Model 1891 made in 1896, the .264 Nosler partitions work well. Here is a photo of my 100 yard target. I installed a Brownell Mauser high front sight, but had not corrected it for elevation or windage. I fired the five shot group, the last being the high flyer - durn. I've included a photo of the four WWI period rifles I have - 1891 Nagant made in 1917 by Remington, 1896 Krag made in 1898, 1896 Swede made in 1899, and the 1891 Carcano made in 1896 by Terni.
