G'Day,
I have attached some photos of the fore end from a no1 mark 3 that has the areas between the bedding points at the inner band and the nose cap relieved. Is this a standard practice from the factory or has someone done it at a later point. The rifle is a 1941 Lithgowicon with matching numbers to the bolt, barrel, and fore end.
