Please help decode this Receiver.
Going to purchase, or at least plan to...a No4 MK 2 this weekend.
Would this rifle be a post war rebuild, or a just simply built as part of a new contract? Curious as to what the breakdown of the rifle history might be.
Thanks in advance...

Hello Roadkingtrax from 82 degree Mesa. Yours is in the 'Irish Contract' range, no rebuild, I've got a couple, do a search on this forum for tons of information (PF309348-PF359347 Irish Republic). Are you going to be at the SAR Show in Phoenix week-end after next? Cheers, Don

I do plan to go in December...the only show I really go to. I never buy anything, but always good for people watching.
I have a rifle match on Sunday though at Rio, so Sat may be the day.
Thanks for the info, and independently confirms my suspicions. I think the seller is a little high on his asking price, $400+....we shall see.

Doesn't appear new 'out of the wrap', maybe $250 tops in this market without bayonet. I'm a Rio Salado member, good luck on your shoot. Don P.S., I'll PM you my cell number to say hello at the SAR show. Don
