    m4 bayonet display

Attachment 38499I am not a bayonet collector but do happen to have about 2/3 of ww2 made for m1 carbines ones--here is how I made display using demill carbine barrels, some bands and front sights mounted on small angle iron on ammo crate-tapped the barrels and used bolt thru hole in angle iron-not something to have on coffee table and stumble into some night though-I am looking for mint examples of a case and aerial marked m4 to finish -anyone having those please email me

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Great way to display. We made presentation SA80 bayonets like this, pointing upwards by threading a shot out SA80 barrel and attaching the bayonet to the flash eliminator. That reminds me of a case in Englandicon some years ago now where I was calleds as an expert witness........... God, it just showed how smal minder some authorities can be. A good, honest upstanding gent, never even had a parking ticket in his life, had a collection of bayonets and some of them, including a No5, SLR and SA80, were mounted in a magnificent display, on the cut-off muzzles of deactivated rifles. And the cops pounced on him. Made his life absolute hell for the next 6 months and because he wouldn't give over the cut off muzzles and flash eliminators, took him to the Crown Court no less....... Unfortunately for the taxpayer, the authoritiesd lost the case and he was awarded total costs against the Police - paid for by the taxpayer of course!
