Surely only for aiming practice, or display?
And it wouldn't fit in the car boot anyway. So thanks for the offer, I'll leave it.

We used them for aiming practice. You could have the student set his rifle on the target and you could have him step away to prove he was right or wrong. Point of aim, aiming off, aiming up and down...

Yes That´s what we used them for. But might well be very useful on the range.

Here's an old thread with lots of pics of my Canadianicon version ....

SMLE Craddle Arm, WWI on GB

Everyone might want to try our Google CSE custom search engine located in the top right corner below the words "Advanced Search". It only searches our site using Google techniques and can be quite efficient. For example, in your case, type in the words alming rest and see what happens. Perhaps try other phrases as well.

I checked and there are several old posts…

    Regards,
    Doug

Er, so it's a kind of SMLE with wierd grasping grooves and MKV tendencies. Did I miss something?

Oh, and with a bayonet that looks as if it might be good for chopping vegetables in the kitchen.

    OK, I haven't a clue - tell me!

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
