    See Any Issues? Inland 18x,xxx

Had been watching this on Inland on GB, 10 day auction.
After seeing the CMPicon Re-built IBM sell for $1800
WWII IBM M1icon Carbine, M-1, Exc : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

I was sure this Inland would at the very least get it's opening bid of $1200 with No Reserve.
There aren't tons of pictures and the pics with Flash make it look Re-parked.
But if looking closer when not using Flash, finish seems to be original.
I didn't research it very hard, didn't ask the seller any questions as I wasn't planning to bid.
Just couldn't believe it didn't get bid on. At this time it has not been re-listed.
Seeing C Tip sling prices lately, it could have been worth ~20% of the opening bid.

Interested in ya'lls thoughts and Curious if anyone see's any issues?

    GB Inland 18x,xxx:

M1 carbine early Inland serial 18x,xxx excellent : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

    Thx,

P.S. Were Roger and Marcus on vacation?

Charlie, I can't believe the IBM went for $1800, but this Inland di dnot get a bid at $1200. I am not an expert like you guys, but it did look pretty good with dogleg hammer, C tip sling, and all.

The rear sight looks like a reproduction.

The rear sight looks good to me as does the rest of it. Even has the type 1 trigger housing pin. Cheap at $1200 and it went wanting. Marcus was lurking earlier today but on another forum. Guess he missed this one.

Too late now to disect it,
But wonder about the HG, Recoil plate, Oiler and Butt plate....
I see the 22 coil hammer spring.

Think if the seller had added better pics it would have drawn more interest ? ... But it did have over 875 views (IIRC)
    Just never know, Do Ya?

    Cheers,

Rear sight was even over to the left like my Inland. How often do you see 22 coil hammer springs? - and I'd like to have that stock too. Seller had a GB rating of (3) all occruring 7-8 years ago. Also, kind of a catchy username! - Bob

Rear sight looked fake and there were no good pics of the barrel band. I wouldn't bid on one like that. Not enough detailer pics.

When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

The owner emailed me more pictures of this carbine. The rear sight is correct and not a repo and so is the barrel band. In fact other then the stock being sanded a little bit and cleaned it is all original. A real nice one.

Looks like everybody missed a sweet one. Would have been nice to see more detail, like the green date stamp in the stock, handguard features, etc., etc. Too bad he didn't take the trouble to do a better picture show and a parts list. He would have gotten more than the opening bid, I think.
