    About 20 years ago the county was spraying for Gypsy Moths. I walked over to the bordered-on-3-sides-by-forest east field to watch the little aerobatic sprayer planes at work.

    What I didn't know at the time was that that year they were employing a Goonie Bird for the job.

    I was in the middle of the field when I became aware of the sound ... which quickly became THE SOUND ... and that DC-3 went right over me as it passed just above the oaks. WHOA! Beautiful!
