    SMLE...No.1 Mk5, #'s match, BEAUTIFUL gun, w/2 10 rd mags

Any and all advice, opinions, or estimations welcome! Recently inherited this from my late grandad & would like to know as much as possible about it. I've tried to research, but haven't found much on these mk5 "trial" rifles. It does have a fairly low sn# I believe(735 i think), it's not accessible at the moment. Thanks to all in advance!

*Apparently I can't upload pics from my phone. I will ad pics as soon as I cab transfer to a computer, by monday for sure.

Well, A735 would fall into the 1924 range of serial numbers - see this link http://home.earthlink.net/~smithkaia...lists/id9.html
The best advice I can give you is to take lots of pictures and post them here. You will find that the knowledgeable collectors will be able to then comment on anything unusual about it. If you want an idea of value, I'd check the Gunbroker Auction site and see if any have sold in the last 90 days. Originality and condition are the keys to good value.

Just a side note about your comment of two magazines - they were only issued with one and it was only meant to be removed when cleaning was required. I'd look at the two magazines and see if you can identify from the markings which one belongs with your rifle.

Unfortunately I don't have a PC, & when I try to edit post or submit a reply, it won't let me upload from my android phone. I'm sorry, & hate to keep y'all waiting.
