    No4 mk1 T

Went to a Gander Mountain store in Ohio yesterday to check out ammo availability and cost. Found a Britishicon Sniper in a display case for sale. It is a correct No4 Mk1T, with scope, mount, lens covers and scope tin. Complete with labels and transit case. Price is $8000 I passed. I will check back to see if sold. What is my L42 worth?

I've suggested there is a progression of prices for No.4T rifles. Start with a Britishicon T rifle - no scope or accessories, that is value X. Add a mismatched scope, that is value 2X. Match the scope to the rifle, and you have 3 or 4 X. The No.15 chest, No.8 tin and straps, M1903 sling and other items on the checklist, hold up the price but won't be significant multipliers maybe 4 to 5 X. If the rifle is a Long Branch with an REL scope, I would think the top of the market would be a matched LB and REL, with matching accessories for 8 to 10 X. Unless that British No.4T was used to assassinate Hitler's top general, that rifle is way overpriced.
