71/84 to blue or not

I can't figure out if 71/84 receivers were blued. I've seen pictures both ways. Mine is sort of a dull brown. The rest of the barrel is blued.

Receiver was in the white. Do not re-blue receiver. All of the Gew 88's and Gew 98's had white receivers.
