    Looking for M1 Garand advice

    Hello
I'm a new proud owner of M1icon Garand. After disassembly I concluded all parts are SA dated from 1942 to 1943 with the exception of bolt which is HR from 1947 (I think). My question is, from collector standpoint of view does it make any sense to acquire SA bolt dated from same period and install it, or it wouldn't make any difference.
Rifle is purely meant for display and occasional fun shooting not a competitor.
    Thank you

It's already a parts gun from multiple re-builds. If you look in Scott Duff's books the lists are there for what parts are required to make this rifle a correct gathering of parts. You can never take it back to factory correct, if you intend to shoot it then save your money for ammo. If you HAVE to have a bolt to match then so be it. It's for shooting and showing as an example of an M1icon. It is that.
    Regards, Jim

I not sure you can not return it to factory correct depends on how many parts are out of configuration.

If you change the bolt be share to check headspace
