Hi all
I have this Cavalry Carbine barrel which was mounted on a different action (I think). This barrel was loose on the action, relying solely on a pressure point on the Knox Form to hold it firm. It shot pretty well with light paper patch bullet loads. Anyway, the action is old and worn and I want a lighter profile barrel so I'm wondering whether a serious collector would be interested in the barrel? The bore is clean and smooth but very big with shallow rifling (It shot well for me because I used fitted bullets. I doubt it will shoot standard rounds well, maybe oversized bullet hand loads. What I would like in return is a barrel I can shoot paper patched bullets in which means the actual bore dimensions are not important other than bigger is better. In fact, a 40 cal would be a prise. A 25 cal would be nice too.Information
