"aufiberg" sticker on stock
I am looking at a K31
with what looks like a match sticker on the stocker. A target with aufiberg on it. Any info would be appreciated. Would this increase/decrease value.
Thanks, Ken

Not unless it was very old and for a special event. A photo would be helpful.

Here is photo. It is 1954 manufacture. I am also looking at 1940 date, little more wear and $25.00 cheaper.

I know nothing about those stickers but that doesn't look like anything special. There is no date or anything else on it. The stock on that rifle looks like it has some water staining. The 1940 should have a walnut stock on it which does increase the value typically.
You haven't mentioned the price or if they are all matching numbers. Typically the bolt and receiver will match but occasionally the magazine will not. That is a bit of a minus. If the bolt doesn't match a bigger minus.
I haven't kept close watch on the prices of these lately but I do know they are slowly creeping up. $325 seems to be a good average price from what I have noticed but they are becoming harder to find for sale.

Agreed. The sticker does not have a date or match inscribed on it. All it is doing is making a sticky stain on the wood, as will be discovered when it is removed. If mine, I would remove it.

Thanks for the replies. I couldn't find any info on the sticker and removing it would leave a large blemish and I don't like to refinish military surplus. I think I will go with an earlier issue.
