Do not know about that but the lead has one of those thingies over the muzzle to keep the water out of the barrel you know what we men use so as not to populate the world !
Also they could be airborne as weren't they the ones that had there fighting knives on the right calf

I can't imagine how bad a truck that was burnt and still smoking must've smelled.
For some reason condoms didn't dawn on me until someone mentioned it. I thought it looked like one of those canvas ones. Which doesn't make sense. Or snow. LOL.

Towards the end of the war there was a roll of tape issued - used to cover the muzle
