Finding a tiger striped stock for a 1903A3 as a gift??
I am a new member, with almost no experience and nothing to offer here, but am looking for some advice on finding a gift for my husband!
Can anyone point me in the right direction in finding a tiger striped stock for a 1903A3??
I may sound like an idiot as I really have no idea what I'm doing... but is there a price range I should expect? Are the very difficult to find?
If they will be he very difficult to find or very expensive, I'm open to any other ideas. He has the 1903A3 and an M1Garand.
Thank you!

You're no idiot dear girl...we'll try to find one here someplace...there's lots of people here that have that sort of thing. A tiger stripe stock is usually something done by hand. Here's a site that can give you some idea what a retail stock should run. More will follow me on this...just be patient... Springfield Rifle Parts

Google Dupage Trading Company and give them a call. They might be able to supply a stock or at least point you in the right direction.

Brownells offers a nice repro Italian
made C stock, id call them and ask to hand pick one and handguard with the quality you want, most of the ones iv fitted were outstanding wood.

Thank you for the support and advice so far. I'll check out your suggestions. It's hard to sneak around my husband, his birthday is in March so I have a bit of time and I hope to surprise him. He's also on many forums so I have no idea if he uses this one.
He tries to educate me on firearms, but I'm still very lost coming from a family where I had nothing to do with them and was pretty much taught to fear them. I'm over that now at least, and looking into getting a carry permit, but the terminology will probably always confuse me.

We'll be around...you can always PM one of us if you fear him finding you searching. You have several directions to work now though...

I apologize if I'm going too far off topic. Can you comment on how the Brownells reproduction 03-A3 stocks compare to the CMP
reproduction 03-A3 stocks? Are the Brownells 03-A3 stocks sold with handguards (they aren't pictured)?
Thanks for your comments!

i would contact Brownells and ask them..
the CMP
stocks are less then good, too many variations, and too much work to make them fit.
the Minelli stocks iv installed have been exellent.
