Your right BAR, a Triumph it is. The spring is identical but the front end itself is a tad different then the Model H you linked to,, maybe a beefier military version....

For those who are interested, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk has the book "Adventures of a Motorcycle Despatch Rider" by Capt. W.H.L. Watson in Kindle and hard copy editions. It is a good read and offers some insight into, and a different perspective of, the early days of WWI.
