Help review a carbine!

So awhile back I sold a complete mix master in an attempt to get a more correct version. Well, I recently picked up this little inland which I believe is mostly (possibly all) correct. I did my research, but would like you guys to verify everything. Before I post the pics, note the barrel band. It's an original type 1 that someone modified into a type three by welding a bayolug onto it! What do you guys think about the gun? Does everything check out? I'm not the best at spotting reproduction parts. I've got a three day inspection period. Did I do okay overall? Thanks for looking guys!

Post the serial number, it tells a lot of what goes on it. Also what you are going to pay for it. I'm not an Inland guy (yet) but it looks good to me !

Serial is 530555 and I paid $1000 shipped for it!

Dang. What stock should it have? aside from the IO in the sling well, there's also a crossed cannon but it's so faint you can barely see it much less photograph it.

Is the bayo lug modification welded or braised on ? Was the front band cut to make the modification? If braised on it could be heated and removed.GK

The stock isn't wrong. It's been modified to low wood. You can see it still has an early recoil plate in it. I believe it's the original stock, but I've had it in my hands. It has a matching aged patina to the rifle. The low wood, the barrel band assembly and hammer are the only items different than what would've been issued originally. And the band is probably original to the rifle. There is no staking on the receiver for adjustable sights. That flip has been on there for decades. Probably 7 decades. Look at the matching bronze patina on the flip and receiver. That's the wealth of age. The swivel is real, as is the band and flip. I say the mag catch and safety are all USGI too.

By the looks of the band I'd SWAG that it was already done by 1975.
