    Lithgow triggerguard?

Curious about one thing on a 1919 Lithgowicon Mk.III*. The triggerguard appears to have been made with niether swivel lugs nor a breech cover attaching loop. Does this sound legitimate?

Well, I had a quick dig in the "crypt" and found ONE Oz triggerguard that had no swivel lugs or loop.

It has no "Factory" marking, BA; MA etc. that I can see, but it has the Lithgowicon "A" in the six-pointed star on the outer surface of the triggerguard proper.

    Another of "life's little mysteries"??

IIRC and without the SAIS to hand the deleted lug trigger guard came just before the lugs were left solid together with the piling swivel lugs. Also only for one maybe two years.
