Rear Sight Doesn't "Click"

When I first got into Garands I could never understand what people meant when they'd say "adjust the sights right/left blah blah ONE CLICK." I soon realized why, my sights don't "click" both audibly and physically. The looseness of the sight while adjusting it makes it difficult to get a solid "zero." It's a SA Type II lock bar. I've disassembled it, checked it for major wear, and made sure to follow the instruction correctly for reassembly. Can you guys help me trouble shoot this? The sight seems original (due to finish wear, correctness, dirt and grime, and it was on it from CMP) to the rifle, so I'd hate to have to replace anything.
