Need help with ser# & markings, My first Garand
Pick up my first Garand don't know much about serial # and marking. Is barrel original to receiver ? Its a beauty! Will appreciate if anyone can help. Also pictured M1A

Rebuilt and rebarreled at Tooele Arsenal Nov 1965. Nice example of a rebuild that is getting a lot of attention these days. Mike Bernazzani is doing feature articles on the various rebuilds for the GCA
Journal, LEAD is next but TE is in the works. Nice rifle.

Looks like that after it was rebuilt at Tooele in 1965 it went overseas. It was purchased by Interarms and imported back into the U.S. Most likely in the 1970's. Note the InterArms Alex Va. import marking on barrel. (third picture).
Also note the Italian
(Breda) produced Bullet Guide, which it may have picked up while in foreign service.
