    The Last Gas Trap?

The Fall issue of the GCAicon Journal should be in the mail next week... the Featured Rifle is the highest GT known, totally original and excellent condition. Lots to learn from it! If you are not a GCA member you won't see this stuff. For a measly $25 a year you get four magazines, including the Winter issue that will have the complete story on LEAD rebuilds. What are you waiting for, an engraved invitation?

    mid 1940 rifles

Like Bob Seijasicon stated above, the GCAicon Journal is the best buy for $25 per year and a lot of color photos too, when I joined they were still trying to get twenty guys to join !

Photo of my 52112 not original (needed some work) and not gas trap either but has the
July 1940 barrel which is not common but correct. Attachment 56036Attachment 56037Attachment 56038Attachment 56039

    52112

51559 was very probably built in July 1940, same as your 52112. I'll bet the parts (other than the GT components) are the same. SA was building GasTrap and Gas Port rifles at the same time in July 1940.

Please excuse my ignorance, what is GCAicon? I assume it's not the Gujerati Cultural Assoc which came up in my Google search.
