This is my Lee-Enfield SMLE. Straight from the queen's arse..nal Since it was dated 1918, I suspect the Kaiser surrendered because this rifle was created. Probably sat in England's reserve until they decided to sell it to America for a bit of change. No Arabic or Indian markings of any kind.
It's in pretty good condition, save for light dings and a right good stock crack just behind the trigger. Shoots good, but it does cause rounds to tumble. Rifling looks good soI really really like shooting this rifle.
Anyways, I am posting this because I am wondering how to clean the magazine. I can't really get into it. I hear you are supposed to push the back until the front pops out but it does not look like it was made that way. SMLE owners help!Information
