Posting photos in threads.....

As a new Milsurp member, I have a question regarding attaching photos relating to posted threads.
I see references here relating to using "Photobucket" and similar sites to attach and/or insert photos. I have tried using that method in the past on another forum site and finally gave up out of frustration after the 5th or 6th attempt. From those of us who are not 100% "computer-savy" (what is a URL?....), it is not as easy as depicted in some of the threads I've read. Numerous other sites allow photo insertion directly without having to go through secondary sites. Is it not possible to post photos directly from a members computer files to a posted thread?

Thank You for this information. Guess I didn't read the "sticky" close enough, just saw the reference to Photobucket and assumed that was the only way.
