Franz Stock 6.35 pistol WWII bringback?

Was given to me by my father in law, stating his friend brought back from


Europe. Was mfg around 1919 according to my research. Has GERMANY stamped under

the barrel shroud. Were war trophys stamped with country of origin or is this an import

. Not marked with any importer, just GERMANY. Thanks, Bob

Seems like an import mark, so probably not a war trophy.
