'Tonight my men and I have been through hell and back again, but the look on your faces when we let you out of the hall - we'd do it all again tomorrow.' Major Chris Keeble's words to Goose Green villagers on 29th May 1982 - 2 PARA
Thanks Gil. Really great to see.
"He which hath no stomach to this fight,/ Let him depart." Henry V
Brightened my day. Thanks!
Thanks from me too Gil.
I think it is so awesome that a few people restore to actual working condition and to demonstrate old military vehicles like this for us to see in 'action' and not just a static museum piece -
They seldom ever recoup a fraction of their expenses in parts alone to restore them, much-less the often thousands of hours of their labor, but do it as a love of preserving living history.![]()
The Great Dorset Steam Fair is a great show, I was there 2012 and 2013. would have loved to see that convoy. The second engine, Boudica is one of if not the most powerful traction engine in the world. is that a museum collection or private individuals who have restored those WW1 vehicles?
Keep Calm

Roy,
Thankfully in loving private hands and cared for daily which they have to be, to keep their boilers in A1 condition.![]()
