I posted this elsewhere but thought I would post here as well since you don't see these too often. Just picked up this fairly uncommon trainer. It is a Lampagyar trainer made in Hungaryby the Budapest Lamp Factory. This rifle must have been stored away somewhere. The wood was a bit dry but some Howards brought it back to like new. The bluing is excellent as is the bore. Aside from being used as military trainers, these rifles were also used to train civilians as "young communists". However, that kind of backfired and these rifles were used by civilians in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. The last pic shows a 15 year old carrying the same rifle in the 1956 uprising.
