    Ordinary IHC Recr.?

Having just recently purchased my first IHC M1icon I have been closely examining the heel thinking that it might be slightly sand blasted. It is a SA'64rebuild. But now that I have the new GCAicon Journal I see the one pictured also has a surface finish that is more pebbled than the others. I guess my question is whether the heel in the picture is sandblasted or if it is normal for the 5M range? (PS. Great Issue GCA!!-The Barn Wood WRA stocks pictured made me physically ill)

What I have heard about some IHC heels is that they had forging issues. Around the top edge there can be places that are rough from original forging. I believe that this just applies to IHC made receivers. HTH
